Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Account information: Your name and email address when you create an account or sign in.
- Book content: Photos, written memories, messages, and other content that you or your contributors submit to be included in your keepsake book.
- Book details: Honoree name, book title, occasion type, and other customization details you enter.
- Shipping information: Name and mailing address for delivery of your printed book.
- Payment information: Billing details processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your credit card number — Stripe handles all payment data.
- Communications: Messages you send to our support team.
Information Collected Automatically
- Usage data: Pages visited, actions taken in the platform, and general usage patterns to help us improve the product.
- Device information: Browser type, operating system, and IP address for security and platform compatibility.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect exclusively to operate and improve Memory Binding:
- To create your account and maintain your books on the platform
- To produce, print, and ship your keepsake book
- To communicate with you about your order, including shipping confirmation and tracking
- To respond to your support requests
- To send service-related emails (order status, important updates)
- To improve the platform and fix bugs
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes — ever.
Third-Party Services We Use
To deliver Memory Binding, we work with a small number of trusted third-party providers. Each is bound by their own privacy policies and contractual data protection obligations:
- Supabase — Secure cloud database where your account and book data is stored.
- Stripe — Payment processing. Stripe handles all payment card data. We never see or store your card number. Stripe Privacy Policy →
- Lulu Press — Professional book printing and fulfillment. Your book content is transmitted to Lulu solely for the purpose of printing your order.
- Cloudflare — Website hosting and content delivery. Helps us serve the site quickly and securely.
We share your information with these providers only as necessary to fulfill your order and operate the platform.
Book Content & Contributor Privacy
When you invite contributors to add content to your book, those contributors share photos, messages, and stories through a unique invite link. This content is:
- Stored securely in our database associated with your book
- Visible to you (the book creator) and used only to produce your printed book
- Not shared with any third party except our print partner (Lulu) for the purpose of printing
- Deleted upon request (see Your Rights below)
Please use care when inviting contributors and ensure they're comfortable with their content appearing in a printed book.
Data Retention
We retain your account and book data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to fulfill your orders and comply with legal obligations. After an order is fulfilled, your book content is retained so you can re-order in the future. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Your Rights below).
Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion: Request that we delete your account and personal data. Note that we may need to retain certain information for legal or financial compliance.
- Portability: Request your data in a portable format.
- Opt out of marketing: Unsubscribe from any marketing emails using the link in any email we send, or by contacting us directly.

Security
We take data security seriously. Your data is stored on encrypted servers, all data in transit is protected by TLS/SSL encryption, and access to your data is strictly controlled. While no online service can guarantee 100% security, we follow industry best practices to protect your information.
Children's Privacy
Memory Binding is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we'll notify you by email or through a notice on the platform. Continued use of Memory Binding after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Terms of Service
Welcome to Memory Binding. By accessing or using our website and platform at memorybinding.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including book creators and contributors.
Using the Service
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and place orders. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.
Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@memorybinding.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Memory Binding to:
- Upload or submit content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, or infringes on any third party's rights
- Upload content that sexualizes or exploits minors in any way
- Submit content to which you do not have the right to use (e.g., copyrighted photos without permission)
- Attempt to access or interfere with other users' accounts or data
- Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or abuse the platform
Content You Submit
You retain ownership of all photos, text, and other content you submit to Memory Binding. By submitting content, you grant Memory Binding a limited license to use, store, and reproduce your content solely for the purpose of creating and delivering your keepsake book.
You represent and warrant that you have the right to submit all content you upload, and that it does not violate any third party's rights. You are solely responsible for the content in your book.
Orders & Payment
By placing an order, you agree to pay the listed price for your selected binding type, plus any applicable page surcharges and shipping fees displayed at checkout.
All prices are in US dollars. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Your order is confirmed once payment is successfully processed.
Custom-printed books cannot be resold or returned for a refund except as covered by our Return & Reprint Policy.
Intellectual Property
The Memory Binding platform, including its design, code, logos, and brand elements, is owned by Memory Binding and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or use any part of the platform without our written permission.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Service's availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the platform.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Memory Binding's total liability for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Memory Binding in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, then binding arbitration if necessary.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We'll notify you of significant changes by email.
