Military retirement memory book
A retirement book from everyone who served beside them.
A career of service touches people in every unit, on every base and at home. Send one link, and fellow service members, family and friends each add a story, a thank-you or a photo. We print and bind it into a keepsake for the next chapter.
Free to start. No payment until you approve your book. Books from $45.
How it works
You send one link. Everyone they served with fills the book.
People who served with them years ago, friends from every duty station and the family who waited at home can all add a page, wherever they are now.
Begin the book
Pick a cover and add their name. It takes a few minutes and costs nothing.
Share the link
Text or email it to family, friends and fellow service members. Everyone adds memories and photos from their phone or computer.

What to write
Prompts to send fellow service members and family
A blank page stops people. A good question gets them writing. Copy any of these into your message.
- What do you remember about the first time you met them?
- What did they teach you that you still carry?
- Tell us about a time they had your back.
- What's a story from off duty that still makes you laugh?
- What did the family want them to know through every deployment?
- What kind of leader or friend were they when it counted?
- What do you hope they do first with their time now?
- Finish the sentence: “Because you served with me, I…”
Short is fine. Two honest sentences and a photo make a beautiful page.
Timing
Start about four to six weeks before the ceremony.
People are spread across bases and time zones, so give them three to four weeks to write. Here's how the time splits.
Choose how they keep it
One for them, copies for the family.
A hardcover makes a lasting gift, and you can let family and friends order their own copies.
Hardcover
Sturdy laminate boards and a ribbon marker. The heirloom version for their bookshelf.
Paperback
A classic book feel on cream paper, and an easy choice for extra copies.
Spiral
Opens flat for easy reading. No minimum page count, so it suits smaller books.
All prices include typesetting and free standard US shipping. Books over 50 pages add $10 for each additional 50 pages. A photo cover adds $10. Full pricing details.
Questions
Before you send the link
Can people at other bases or overseas contribute?
Yes. Contributors only need the link, so it works from any base, any state and any time zone.
How far ahead should I start?
About four to six weeks before the retirement ceremony. Give everyone three to four weeks to add their memories. Printing takes 3 to 5 business days after you approve your proof, plus shipping.
Do people need an account to add a memory?
Not with an open link: anyone you share it with can add a memory and a photo from their phone or computer. If you would rather keep it private, a private invite asks each contributor to make a free account.
Can someone add more than one page?
Yes. Each contributor gets one page by default, and you can allow up to 20 pages per person in your book's settings.
Can family members order their own copy?
Yes. You can allow contributors to buy copies of the book themselves.
What if only a few people contribute?
You can add memories on someone's behalf, and a smaller book of heartfelt notes is still a gift they will keep. Spiral books have no minimum page count.
A lifetime of service deserves more than a card.
