Milestone birthday memory book

A birthday book from everyone who loves them.

For a 40th, a 70th or a 90th, the best gift is the people. Send one link, and family and friends each add a story, a wish or a photo. We print and bind it into a book they will read again and again.

Free to start. No payment until you approve your book. Books from $45.

A birthday keepsake book with a full photograph of the woman it was made for, beside candles and flowers

How it works

You send one link. Everyone they love fills the book.

No passing a card around the party. Cousins across the country and friends from every chapter of their life can all add a page.

  1. Begin the book

Pick a cover and add their name. It takes a few minutes and costs nothing.

  2. Share the link

Text or email it to family and friends. Everyone adds memories and photos from their phone or computer.

  3. Review every page

Every memory comes to you first. Approve the full proof before anything prints.

  4. We print and ship

Choose hardcover, paperback or spiral. Free standard shipping in the US.

What to write

Birthday book prompts to send everyone

A blank page stops people. A good question gets them writing. Copy any of these into your message.

  • What's your favorite memory with them?
  • What would you want them to know on this birthday?
  • What did they teach you that you still carry?
  • Tell us about a time they made you laugh until you cried.
  • What's a tradition only the two of you share?
  • What do you hope this next year brings them?
  • Describe them in three words, then tell us why.
  • Finish the sentence: “The first time I met you…”

Short is fine. Two honest sentences and a photo make a beautiful page.

Timing

Questions

Before you send the link

How far ahead should I start?

About four to six weeks before the birthday. Give everyone three to four weeks to add their memories. Printing takes 3 to 5 business days after you approve your proof, plus shipping.

Do people need an account to add a memory?

Not with an open link: anyone you share it with can add a memory and a photo from their phone or computer. If you would rather keep it private, a private invite asks each contributor to make a free account.

Can someone add more than one page?

Yes. Each contributor gets one page by default, and you can allow up to 20 pages per person in your book's settings.

Can family members order their own copy?

Yes. You can allow contributors to buy copies of the book themselves.

What if only a few people contribute?

You can add memories on someone's behalf, and a smaller book of heartfelt notes is still a gift they will keep. Spiral books have no minimum page count.

This birthday deserves more than a card.
